How it works
Introduction Call.
The Introduction Call isn’t a sales pitch. There’s no charge, no pressure, and no obligation. It’s a 30-minute conversation to see if we’re the right fit for each other.
We’ll ask a few simple questions about you and your role, your goals, and what prompted you to get in touch. Think of it as an open conversation about where you are now and where you want to get to.
You’ll also hear how we help senior retail leaders like you. We’ll explain the process clearly, answer your questions, and tell you honestly whether Kate is the right financial planner for you.
There’s no charge for the Introduction Call.
Discovery Meeting.
The 90-minute Discovery Meeting is all about you. It’s a deep dive into your life today as a busy retail professional, and what you’d like it to look like in the future.
We’ll start by talking about you, not your money. Your goals, dreams and priorities come first. Then we’ll look at your finances, including your salary, pensions, shares, and commitments, as well as explore what they mean for your future.
We’ll cover investments and risk in plain English, before reflecting your goals back to you. You won’t leave with a finished plan, but you’ll leave with clarity about the next step forward.
There’s no charge for the Discovery Meeting.
Kate does her stuff.
During this stage, we’ll build your financial plan. We’ll take the information you shared in the Discovery Meeting and combine it with our own research into your circumstances.
That research will include reviewing your income and expenditure, your existing pensions, savings, and investments. Where relevant, we’ll also look closely at any share option schemes or bonuses that often form a big part of the compensation packages for senior retail leaders.
We’ll then bring everything together and use our expertise to build a plan designed to achieve the goals you identified in the Discovery Meeting, giving you clarity and confidence about the future.
There’s no charge for this work.
The Financial Planning Session.
This is where everything comes together because it’s where we show you whether your goals are achievable.
Your plan is presented visually, so you can clearly see options and trade-offs. We’ll show the impact of changes in pounds, pence and peace of mind, helping you feel confident that you’re on track to meet your goals, or if you’re not, what you need to do.
Implementation Meeting.
This is the most technical meeting in the process. We’ll have reviewed all your pensions, savings, investments, and any share schemes, preparing clear recommendations for each. We’ll explain how they align with your goals, including the benefits, risks, and reasons behind every change.
If you’re happy to proceed, we’ll send the paperwork for approval. Once signed, we’ll liaise directly with providers to get everything set up properly, keeping the process as straightforward and stress-free as possible.
Timelines can vary depending on providers, but you won’t need to chase. We’ll keep you updated until everything is complete, so you can focus on work, family, and life outside of money.
The next 12 months and beyond.
Once the dust has settled on the initial implementation, you’ll feel relief and confidence knowing everything is as it should be, with a clear plan in place to achieve your objectives.
Over the first 12 months, we’ll check in regularly to see how you’re feeling. Clients tell us this ongoing support provides reassurance and, importantly, space to think about themselves rather than their employer.
We’ll then move into a steady rhythm of working together, meeting twice a year: an annual review, timed for retail’s quieter season, and a tax planning review early in the year, keeping everything efficient, relevant and on track.
